Taking advantage of the warm water generated around the nuclear power station, Neptune Farms was able to capitalize on an excellent situation, a continuous supply of water ideal for sturgeon. A working farm needing upgrade, AquaMaof assessed the situation and installed a new, modern cage system with top quality AquaMaof brackets.
Complicating the installation is the raw fact of the raw cold. This project is located in Lake Pesva, in the Tver region of Russia, near the city of Udomlya, where wintertime air temperatures can reach -30* C (-22* F). Despite difficult conditions, Neptune produces top quality species of sturgeon such as beluga, sterlet, Siberian and Russian for the local market.
